  • People in the detailing industry often refer to paint corrections as part of their service, mine included. So, what is it?

Your vehicle's clearcoat does a great job of being a layer on top of your actual paint as a protectant. Brake dust, road grime, UV light, automatic car washes and improper washing techniques are just some of the culprits that lead to clear coat damage.

When your vehicle is in the sun or under light, swirls, spider webbing, and thin scratches may be painfully obvious. This is where paint correction comes in.

Using a paint depth meter will give us detailers a general idea of how much clear coat we can safely cut/polish.

With the use of professional polishers, foam pads, micro fiber pads, wool pads, and an array of cutting and polishing compounds, we can safely and effectively remove these defects to restore that beautiful paint.

This is an incredibly timely process! Working in a 2'x2' section at a time, detailers will work around the entire vehicle until the vehicle is perfect. This can sometime take multiple days to complete for perfection.

  • When performing your routine maintenance wash, you're mainly removing the top level contaminants off your clear coat. Typically mud, dirt, road grime, dust ect. What we don't think about is all the contaminants that embed themselves in your clear coat.

When performing a paint decon, we're adding several steps to our wash. Our steps is as follows:

    1. Pressure rinse.

    2. Foam bath with foam cannon/soap mixture.

    3. Handwash.

    4. Rinse/Inspect

    5. Re-foam.

    6. Claybar all painted surfaces and windows to remove larger embedded materials.

    7. Iron remover with IronX. Removal of iron deposits from brake dust, rail dust, and construction.

    8. Surface Prep solution. Alcohol based mixture that is wiped on and wiped off all painted surfaces. This process removes any old waxes, sealants, or other oils.

    8. Rinse/Inspect.

    9. Dry.

Once the paint is as contaminant free as possible, we finish with our sealant/wax or ceramic coating.

  • Ceramic coatings are one of modern days most comprehensive paint protection products. It is an additional barrier of protection that is applied over your clear coat to prevent a host of problem causing issues. We would love to speak to you personally if you are interested.
